Using PubMed@LLU

A how-to to help you use PubMed to find research articles.

Reference Services

Reference librarians and library staff are available to support your clinical, research, and teaching needs by locating factual information related to disease, therapy, or procedures. To request a literature search fill out the search request form. Usual turnaround time for search requests is 1-2 business days.

Finding books

Find books from the library OneSearch by entering keywords, book title, or author.

  • Below is an example of results after entering keywords into the search box.  Notice:
    • On the left, you will find different ways to limit and refine your search.
    • At the top of the results list, you will find a list of recommended Research Guides and Recommended Databases, these change depending on your search.

  • From the results list, you can see if the book is available in the library or digitally. If there is a link to "Access eBook" (result #1 is an example), you can click on that link to access the book digitally.
  • If there is a Location listed such as Webb Circulating (result #2 is an example), you can find the book on the shelf in the library. Take note of the Call No. and ask at the circulation desk if you can't find it.

Using the Databases Portal
