The following cultural competence assessment tools can assist organizations and providers in evaluating their level of cultural competence.

Culture Connections is a non-profit organization funded by New Jersey’s Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services and Department of Children and Families. Although the courses they offer are limited to employees, the website has some helpful sources.

This National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) site provides information on mental health issues faced by the African American and the Latinos.

A cultural competency toolkit developed by University of Chicago (UIC) for use by mental health peer-run programs and self-help groups. The toolkit is also applicable to traditional mental health and rehabilitation programs.
